Blue Tongue Update

The vector-free period for blood sampling animals for Blue tongue disease finished on the 15th March 2008.

Most farmers have informed us of the number of animals that need vaccinating on their farms. If you have not yet done so may I please urge you to telephone the surgery (01892 835456) or e-mail: post@putlandsvets.com.

Hi do horses get bluetongue,as just been told a horse is dead from it.

The simple answer to your question is NO, Horses can not get Bluetongue disease!
