PET SMILE MONTH!

You are invited to a FREE dental clinic with the dental nurse.

·        By the age of 2 nearly 80% of dogs and 70% of cats have some signs of dental disease.

·        My clinic will include a full examination of the mouth and teeth, and free advice on how you can keep the teeth clean and free of dental disease.

Dental disease begins with the accumulation of bacteria plaque on the tooth surfaces. Bacteria in the buccal cavity are constantly mixing with saliva to form extremely resistant biofilm (plaque).

The plaque can be the cause of bad breath and if left untreated will cause gingivitis, (inflammation of the gums). If this is left the plaque is calcified into tartar, this is a rough surface, so therefore more bacteria are able to accumulate. If this is not resolved it will result in tooth loss of otherwise perfectly healthy teeth.

THIS IS KNOWN AS PERIODONTAL DISEASE AND IT IS AN IRREVERSABLE PHENOMENON!

PLEASE CONTACT LUCY AT THE SURGERY TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT AND LET ME HELP YOU GIVE YOUR PET A BETTER LOOKING SMILE
