The large animal department welcome smallholders, who find us keen to provide quality individual care for their animals. We see a huge array of clients ranging from cattle, sheep and pigs to llamas, alpacas and goats.
The practice has facilities for hospitalising all types of large animals which is unique in this area of mixed practice as we are the only veterinary surgery to have access to these facilities within a twenty-five mile radius.
Our smallholder clients often expect a different level of care to our other farm clients and we are always willing to try and save a much loved pet if it is possible to do so. The vets on site have experience with attempting complex surgeries and sometimes even needing to become creative and innovative with techniques not often tried in farm animal practice.
We are also keen to be as involved as possible with helping our clients make the right decision when it comes to the preventative health of their animals as well.
